Since 2007, Kevin and Debbie Cale, parents of CNU field hockey alum Kylie Cale, have been two of the program's biggest supporters. Debbie embraced the role of team mom and the Cales were instrumental in the development of this program.

Debbie Cale had a passion for the sport of field hockey, a genuine concern for others, a sense of humor, a big heart and the ability to make each member of this program feel special. Thanks to Debbie, we have learned to take life less seriously, to find joy in the little things and to welcome others with open arms.

We are lucky to reap the benefits of her invested time and energy, as she has molded this program into something bigger than us all. On October 26, Debbie Cale lost her two year battle with ovarian cancer. Although she is no longer with us, we will uphold the traditions and family she has helped establish. Debbie's dedication to this program will be forever remembered and her efforts never matched. Her warm smile and presence will continue to be felt each day, as we are all better people because of her.

This Play Day is in Honor and Remembrance of Debbie Cale as we use this time to fundraise and bring awareness of ovarian cancer and Debbie Cale's Story.
