Skills academies are 2 hour training sessions for players who want to improve techniques and tactics, coached by top college coaches. The drills are specifically designed to give players more touches on the ball, repetitions, and small group coaching for quick improvement. Players will be divided by age/skill level and go through circuit training and small game play.

TIME: Spring Sessions 7-9 p.m. Summer Sessions 7-9 p.m.
AGES: Boys and girls age 7-18
COST: (1) for $49, (2) $99, (3) $149, (4) $179, (5) $239, (6) $249, (6) $125 for groups of 10 or more from the same school . BOYS are FREE!
DATES: (6) Wednesdays

What gear to bring:

  • Stick
  • Shinguards
  • Molded Mouthpiece
  • Reversible Pinney
  • Waterbottle
  • Cleats/Turfs and Sneakers in case we are indoors
  • Goal Keepers must supply their own equipment.

Location:

CNU Field Hockey Fields and possibly the Freeman Center during inclement weather.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Q: We can make a few of the dates? Do we have to pay for all 6?
A: You can pay for a many as you would like in advance, or pay as you go. Come to as few or many as you want.

Q: What if my daughter/son has never played before?
A: That’s great, we teach beginners too!

Q: How do we register for the 50% group discount?
A: Each person in the group of 10 must register individually online. At the end of the registration will be a registration type labeled “50% 6 sessions for groups of 10 or more”.

Q: My daughter is a goal keeper, will she get specific training?
A: There is a goal keeping coach at every session working specifically with the goal keepers. Typically, they work on goal keeping techniques in the beginning of the session and practice their techniques in game like drills.
