Carrie Moura (Camp Director)

Carrie Moura

Carrie Moura is the Head Field Hockey Coach at Christopher Newport University. In 7 seasons, Moura has brought the program to national status. She has led her team to the best season and best record in program history with an NCAA Elite 8 and (3) Sweet 16 appearance. Moura was named “2006 Coach of the Year” by WomensFieldHockey.com and is a 3 time State Coach of the Year by VASIDs

While completing her masters degree in Educational Leadership Sports Administration at Lynchburg College, Moura served as Assistant Coach carrying a 39-6 record and two NCAA births. Entering her 11th year of collegiate coaching, Moura is also a former physical education   teacher (K-12).

Kim Iman (Assistant Director)

Kim Iman

Kim Iman is the Assistant Field Hockey Coach at CNU. She specializes in goal keeping and defense. A former Cox High School stand-out, Iman holds the state record for career shut outs, shut outs per season, and consecutive shut outs.

Iman completed her outstanding playing career as an All-American selection at Longwood University. Iman also serves as the USFHA Futures Head Coach for the National Training Center site in Virginia Beach


Annie Gehring (Director of Club Events)

Annie Gehring

Annie has been coaching Stick Power for 5 years and was once even a camper!  She was a starter for the CNU Field Hockey Team from 2005-2009, 2 x Captain, Team MVP,and First Team All-State.  She is currently coaching Futures (US Field Hockey Olympic Development Program and volunteers at Peninsula Boy’sand Girl’s Club.
